To introduce myself, I have worked in the areas of regeneration, economic development and skills programmes in London and elsewhere for more than 10 years, and for the last 6 years as a private consultant. My consultancy experience includes working on assignments for ODPM; the LDA; London Boroughs and other Local Authorities; LSCs; SRB, NDC and LEGI partnerships; small business agencies; London South Bank University; Sport England; the CBI; and private sector clients such as Ford Motors and Arsenal FC. I have led on many major projects, acted as lead consultant with the client and on behalf of sub-contracted consortia members, and authored research reports, economic development strategies, business plans and partnership delivery plans. I have a Masters degree in Local Economic Development (Middlesex University) and am a full member of the Institution of Economic Development (IED).
I also occasionally work with consultant consortia on larger assignments. However, for local projects I work on a freelance basis with clients, providing advice and support in a close-working manner either on site with the client, out in the field, or from my office near Woolwich, London. I also have a base in York, for work in Yorkshire & Humberside and North East regions.
