Roger Morfey is an experienced economic and community development research
consultant who has worked in the sector since 1996.
He has worked as a freelance associate consultant since 2004 and for three
years prior to that was a senior consultant at a small regeneration
consultancy based in south London.
Alongside consultancy, Roger worked for two years part-time at the Local
Economy Policy Unit at London South Bank University. Before consultancy,
he spent five years in TEC and LSC research departments and gained a
Masters degree in Local Economic Development from Middlesex University.
Roger earlier studied politics and history at Oxford Brookes University.
Roger can bring a mix of skills to projects, having worked with clients,
partner organisations and stakeholder groups at local through to national levels.
He has a strong background in socio-economic research and evaluation
methods,including qualitative interviewing at senior levels, survey
management and design, analysis and report-writing. He has a good
understanding of policy agenda,programmes and funding frameworks,
particularly in enterprise and local economies, learning and skills, and
sub-national strategies.
